Mike Davidson is a producer, director, presenter, and keynote speaker with more than 20 years of experience creating award-winning documentary programming seen globally on Discovery Channel, National Geographic, BBC, PBS, Smithsonian Channel, History Channel, Amazon, and Paramount+. Over his career, he has directed, written, or produced more than 150 episodes spanning science, technology, exploration, natural history, and archaeology.
Through his multi-season documentary series How Did They Fix That?, currently filming Season 5 for Paramount+ and Smithsonian Channel, airing October 2026, Mike goes shoulder to shoulder with the engineers, scientists, and crews tackling some of the world’s most complex technical challenges, from subsea habitats on the ocean floor to the largest telescopes in the Atacama Desert to missions alongside U.S. Air Force teams in active environments.
Across both his filmmaking and keynote talks, Mike explores the themes that define his work, adventure, curiosity, grit, and resilience under pressure. His storytelling highlights not just breakthrough technology, but the people behind it, championing instinct, bold thinking, and his guiding mantra, Always Be Exploring, while revealing what he calls “human resilience in the mechanical world.”
